ONE SECOND AT A TIME

One Second at a Time is the true story of Christine Ortoll. Her struggle is told from her own journals and by those who supported her, including family, close friends, treatment providers, mental health clinicians, behavioral therapists, and psychiatrists.

Her father, Mike Ortoll also shares the lessons he learned in seeking help for Christine via over twenty recovery facilities. He finds his life’s purpose founding a charity in his daughter’s name and exposing the dangers of mental illness, SUD, and the lethality of synthetic opioids via the country’s top experts.

"I have so many regrets. My daughter was crying out for help; I had no clue how to help her. Every father wants to do what's best for their kids. We want to shield them from pain. We want to protect them. I didn't realize we were dealing with a monster. This is a story about a monster who killed my daughter." - Mike Ortoll
